The City of Victorville is located in the High Desert area (also known as the Victor Valley) of SanBernardino County. Victorville is accessible via Interstate 15 and Highway 395, linking the city with all other areas of Southern California and to Las Vegas. The City of Victorville encompasses approximately 67.68 square miles of land. Victorville has experienced a substantial growth since 1980 with population growing from 14,229 people in 1980 to 106,599 in 2010. 

The Victorville population is aging in line with the rest of the nation, with the median age having increased from 29.5 years in 1990 to 32.8 in 2008. Children represent the largest percentage of residents (33% of the population is under 18 years of age), indicating the popularity of the city with family households. As is the case in the greater Southern California area, the fastest growing age categories in the City of Victorville are the 35 to 54 age categories, with the "baby boom" generation moving through the population.
